Key Responsibilities
  • Assess patient respiratory care needs and develop individualized treatment plans.
  • Apply diagnostic testing and therapeutic plans with skill and insight to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
  • Document patient care according to professional standards and departmental guidelines.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care coordination.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of evidence-based practices.
  • Embrace ongoing professional development and stay current with the latest respiratory therapy research and technologies.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited respiratory therapy educational program.
  • Active Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential with the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC).
  • 12 months of acute/critical care respiratory therapy clinical experience.
  • Licensed to practice as a Respiratory Therapist in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
