About the Role

We are seeking an experienced CNC Machinist to join our manufacturing team at Gerhardt Gear Co. Inc., a leading provider of high-precision gears and components for Aerospace and Energy Exploration.

The successful candidate will be responsible for setting up and operating CNC Mills, ensuring efficient production processes and meeting tight tolerances of +/-.0005" on a daily basis.

Key Responsibilities
  • Set up and operate CNC Mills with proficiency, adhering to safety protocols and quality standards.
  • Maintain accurate records of production cycles, tooling, and material usage.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to optimize production workflows and minimize downtime.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance process efficiency and product quality.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of 5 years' experience working in a JOB SHOP environment as a CNC Machinist.
  • Familiarity with FANUC and HAAS controls, as well as basic programming skills to write vise jaw cutting programs unattended.
  • Knowledge of cutting feeds and speeds applied to Milling, Reaming, Tapping, and general material cutting.
  • Ability to work accurately and efficiently, maintaining a high level of quality and attention to detail.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary range of $65,000 - $90,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus benefits and opportunities for professional growth and development.
