Job Title: Construction Inspector

Are you a detail-oriented professional with a passion for construction and site development? We're seeking a skilled Construction Inspector to join our team at the City of Bastrop.

Job Summary:

The Construction Inspector will be responsible for overseeing the inspection of site development activities, ensuring compliance with City codes and regulations. This role requires strong communication and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct site inspections to ensure compliance with City codes and regulations
  • Develop and implement construction project protocols and codes
  • Maintain and track project activities, including coding, approving, and administering projects
  • Initiate plan amendments as necessary
  • Compile construction data and coordinate with external and internal departments
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field
  • Two years of increasingly responsible experience in construction or utility construction
  • Valid Texas Driver's License with an acceptable driving record
