- Comply with all state and federal regulations applicable to each modality.
- Adhere to Orlando Health's mission statements and commitment to excellence standards.
- Assess the patient's physical condition and age-specific needs.
- Provide instructions that achieve patient cooperation and desired results.
- Perform proper patient identification, acquire patient clinical history, and ensure accurate documentation.
- Position patients, equipment, associated devices, and manipulate technical factors to achieve high-quality images for interpretation.
- Assess diagnostic images for technical quality, proper annotation, and patient identification, ensuring all relative anatomy is demonstrated.
- Apply principles of radiation safety to minimize exposure to patients, self, and others.
- Comprehend and comply with Quality Control standards and participate in all Quality Control tasks.
- Demonstrate proficiency in contrast medication administration with and without the use of power injectors.
- Administer medical aid as required in cases of adverse reaction to contrast medication and/or other emergencies.
- Apply appropriate standard precautions and personal protective equipment to prevent cross-contamination of contagious diseases.
- Assist in supervision of student CT technologists and training of new CT technologists.
- Utilize all Corporate Radiology computer systems effectively and accurately.
- Ensure safety of all customers.
- Maintain reasonably regular, punctual attendance consistent with Orlando Health policies, the ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state, and local standards.
- Maintain compliance with all Orlando Health policies and procedures.
- Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology.
- Valid Certified Radiologic Technologist licensure by the State of Florida.
- Valid American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification.
- Maintains current BLS/Healthcare Provider certification.
