Dental Hygiene Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Dental Hygienist to join our team at Toothio. As a Dental Hygienist, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality oral health care to our patients.
Your primary responsibilities will include conducting initial patient screenings, cleaning teeth, and advising patients on oral health and preventative care. You will also assist dentists in selecting appropriate treatments for various diseases, including oral cancer.
To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong understanding of health and safety regulations, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You should be able to build trust with patients of all ages and have a good eye for oral diseases and anomalies.
Key Responsibilities- Ensure patients feel comfortable and at ease before their examination
- Sterilize dental instruments properly
- Conduct initial mouth screenings and check oral health history
- Identify conditions like gingivitis, caries, or periodontitis
- Clean and protect patients' teeth (e.g., remove plaque or apply fluoride)
- Educate patients on proper teeth care (e.g., demonstrate good brushing techniques)
- Give instructions to patients after operations or other dental procedures
- Take X-rays or dental impressions
- Assist dentists with selecting treatments for various diseases
- Maintain documentation and charts on each patient
- Monitor supplies
- Proven experience as a Dental Hygienist or similar role
- Dental Hygiene license required
- In-depth knowledge of health and safety regulations in this profession (e.g., HIPAA)
- Experience in preparing and maintaining dental equipment
- Outstanding communication skills
- A patient and friendly personality
- Attention to detail
- Stamina to meet the physical demands of the job
- Diploma in Dental Hygiene (preferred)
