Medical ICU Registered Nurse

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Medical ICU team at PeaceHealth. As a critical care RN, you will provide direct patient care in compliance with professional practice and unit standards, promoting a collaborative and interdisciplinary approach towards patients, families, and all members of the care delivery team.
Responsibilities- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care needs.
- Document patient care in the healthcare record according to established standards.
- Direct and delegate care to other team members in accordance with their education, credentials, and demonstrated competence.
- Ensure own professional effectiveness through education and professional development.
- Participate in the development of and maintains established hospital policies, procedures, and objectives, quality improvement, safety, environmental, and infection prevention program.
- Manage ventriculostomy, EVD, and ICP.
- Nursing care of patients with non-traumatic ICH, non-traumatic SAH, seizures.
- Nursing care of patients post tPA, thrombectomy, aneurysm coiling, carotid artery stenting, and intra-cranial stenting.
- Management of blood pressure abnormalities with parenteral vasoactive agents. Completion of complex neurological assessments/scales.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Degree from an accredited School of Nursing required.
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred.
- Minimum of six months critical care RN experience in an acute care facility within the last five years required, or successful completion of an approved critical care training course/orientation and standard competencies within six months of hire.
- Preferred: Minimum of one year RN experience in an Intensive Care unit specializing in Cardiac, Neuro, or Trauma.
