Job Summary:

We are looking for a dedicated and experienced educator to join our team as an Adjunct Faculty member in the Early Childhood Education program. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching college-level courses, developing curriculum, and assessing student learning.

Responsibilities:

  • Teach college-level courses in Early Childhood Education
  • Develop and implement curriculum that aligns with program learning outcomes
  • Assess student learning and provide timely feedback
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and improve curriculum and teaching methodologies
  • Stay current on scholarship, research, and best practices in Early Childhood Education

Qualifications:

  • Doctorate in a related field (preferred)
  • Publications, presentations, and research in Early Childhood Education (preferred)
  • Relevant professional experience
  • Knowledge and experience using Taskstream
  • Familiarity with andragogy and adult learning theory
  • Knowledge in trauma and crisis intervention
  • Certification in counseling, trauma, or grief response is desirable

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of Canvas learning management system
  • Experience working with students from diverse backgrounds
  • Commitment to supporting the mission of Pacific Oaks College
