- Develop and implement individualized therapy plans to address specific needs, including support with stuttering, social skills, vocabulary development, and grammar improvement.
- Provide targeted therapy to students with specific learning disabilities and autism, addressing needs such as understanding multiple-meaning words, new vocabulary, idioms, and compensatory services for incoming 9th graders.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school staff to support student success and facilitate effective communication.
- Maintain thorough documentation of therapy sessions, progress, and outcomes.
- Number of Students: 16 high school students, grades 9-12.
- Disability Categories: Majority with specific learning disabilities; 2 students with autism.
- Student Needs: Includes support with stuttering, social skills, vocabulary enhancement, understanding idioms, and improving grammar in speaking and writing. Incoming 9th graders require compensatory services due to gaps in middle school.
- Valid Speech-Language Pathologist certification.
- Experience working with high school students and a range of speech and language needs is preferred.
- Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
