Job Description

We are seeking an experienced MEP Coordinator to join our team. The successful candidate will have a strong background in MEP systems and a proven track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.

  • Provide MEP solutions during the preconstruction phase, including diverse solutions and analysis to meet client needs and budget.
  • Coordinate with the preconstruction, operations, and client teams to understand various MEP systems and delivery methods.
  • Participate in preconstruction tours and document existing systems and conditions via photographs and detailed notes.
  • Develop MEP scope narratives and RFPs for review by the preconstruction team.
  • Coordinate RFP processes, including communication with MEP subcontractors.
  • Compile, summarize, and present MEP proposals for review by the preconstruction team and client team.
  • Coordinate documentation between the preconstruction team, Virtual Design lead, and project management team during the bid process, design process, and project build.
  • Assist the project management team with phasing and schedule planning, permit processes, and MEP questions/clarifications throughout the build process.
  • Attend on-site and virtual project meetings as needed, take detailed notes, and distribute to all stakeholders.
  • Perform on-site MEP quality control inspections and document progress via photographs and notes.
  • Coordinate Energy Design and Assistance (EDA) documentation with the project team.
  • Act as a liaison and MEP scope expert between parties working on the project, including trade workers, project superintendents, field staff, and project team.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction or design industry.
  • Previous experience in construction or design of MEP systems.
  • Knowledge and experience with design-build and subcontractor bid processes.
  • Ability to read and understand complex plans and specifications in both PDF format and 3D virtual design format.
  • Understanding of Construction Systems and CSI codes.
  • Conceptual MEP estimating skills preferred.
  • Knowledge and experience with MN B3 program, SB2030, USGBC LEED program, Net Zero Energy programs, is desired.
