Job Title: Infection Prevention/Quality Improvement Coordinator

At The Iowa Clinic, we're committed to delivering exceptional care to our patients. We're seeking a highly skilled Infection Prevention/Quality Improvement Coordinator to join our team.

Job Summary:

The Infection Prevention/Quality Improvement Coordinator will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day function of the Risk, Safety, and Infection Control Program. This includes managing and analyzing risk, patient safety, and policy development, as well as conducting audits and managing the clinical quality improvement program.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Analyze data to identify areas for improvement and develop strategies to address them.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct regular audits to ensure adherence to infection control and quality improvement standards.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to identify and address quality improvement opportunities.
  • Develop and implement education programs to promote infection control and quality improvement practices.
  • Participate in the development of new infection control programs and practices as needed.
  • Lead Quality Improvement studies and activities to drive continuous improvement.
Requirements:
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
  • Current RN license to practice nursing in the State of Iowa.
  • Certification in Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) required, certification in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred.
  • State of Iowa Mandatory Reporter Certification required.
  • Minimum of 4 years nursing experience in an acute care hospital/ASC setting; ICU or Surgical experience required.
  • Previous Quality Improvement or Infection Control experience preferred.
