Dennis Premier Landscaping is seeking a dedicated Roll-Off Truck Operator to join our team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Arrive at work punctually in the designated company uniform and equipped with necessary personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Ensure the assigned vehicle is fully fueled, in safe operating condition, and that all required documentation is present before departing.
- Follow the designated route as outlined, documenting any changes or issues encountered using company-provided tools.
- Accurately record time spent at each customer location on the route sheet.
- Conduct a thorough post-trip inspection of the vehicle, ensuring cleanliness and submission of the Vehicle Condition Report (VCR).
- Maintain a productive and safe driving style while interacting courteously and professionally with all individuals.
- Be available for work during weekends and holidays as needed.
- Exercise sound judgment to assess if a customer-loaded container exceeds maximum weight limits and report any overweight situations to the dispatcher.
- Monitor personal compliance with DOT regulations, including daily hours of service, and promptly inform the supervisor of any potential compliance issues.
- Report any traffic violations incurred during work hours to the supervisor at the end of the shift.
- Notify the supervisor of any personal traffic violations or accidents within a 72-hour timeframe.
- Maintain a valid Medical Card and Driver's License at all times.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent, with at least one year of relevant experience in medium or heavy truck operation.
- Required licenses and certifications include a Class B CDL, Medical Card, and a clean driving record for the past five years as evidenced by the current MVR.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience as a roll-off driver.
- Proficient heavy truck driving skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal oversight.
- Capability to operate commercial motor vehicles autonomously.
- Basic mathematical skills are necessary.
- Proficient in reading and speaking English to effectively communicate with the public, comprehend traffic signs, respond to inquiries, and complete reports.
