We are seeking a highly skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our Med Surg Stepdown Unit team at Duke Raleigh Hospital. As an LPN, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct nursing care to assigned patients under the supervision of a registered nurse or physician.
  • Assist other healthcare personnel in the delivery of patient care and participate in the development and implementation of patient care plans.
  • Conduct routine assessments and evaluations of patients to identify potential health risks and develop strategies to mitigate them.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care transitions and optimal patient outcomes.
  • Participate in performance improvement activities and contribute to the development of policies and procedures to enhance patient care and safety.
Requirements
  • Graduation from an accredited Practical Nurse program.
  • Current State of North Carolina LPN licensure or compact license while pursuing North Carolina LPN licensure.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 1+ year of experience as an LPN in a hospital setting.
  • Knowledge of electronic medical records and other healthcare software systems.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
