Position Summary:
The Department of Neurological Sciences at UNMC invites applications for a tenure-track role at the Assistant Professor level, focusing on central auditory processing in neurodegenerative conditions. This position is in collaboration with the Translational Hearing Center at Creighton University.
Applicants should not have previously secured R01-level funding exceeding $210,000 annually in direct costs. Preference will be given to candidates employing diverse translational methodologies related to auditory disorders, including genomic factors and animal models.
Successful candidates will be expected to establish a robust independent research program, secure external funding, and engage in graduate-level teaching. The position offers generous laboratory space, competitive start-up funding, and access to advanced core facilities.
Applicants must possess a Ph.D., M.D., or M.D./Ph.D. degree, along with postdoctoral experience demonstrating significant research accomplishments and scholarly potential.
