Role Summary:
The Patient Services Associate I plays a crucial role in enhancing the patient experience by efficiently managing arrival and departure processes within our outpatient practices. This position primarily involves front desk responsibilities, including the verification of insurance, referrals, and patient demographic details.
Key Responsibilities:
- Facilitate patient check-in and check-out processes, including point of service activities and appointment scheduling through our EPIC system.
- Provide a warm and professional greeting to patients and visitors, whether in person or over the phone.
- Ensure a smooth flow of operations within the practice, addressing any patient or provider concerns as necessary.
- Comply with HIPAA regulations and maintain the highest standards of privacy and security.
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support the overall efficiency of the practice.
Qualifications:
Education: High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
Experience: Previous experience in customer service or a patient-facing role in healthcare is preferred.
Health Requirements:
All employees working within clinical settings are required to be vaccinated against COVID-19, unless an approved medical or religious exemption is provided.
