Job Title: Premium Cook

The Premium Cook will play a vital role in the Legends Hospitality team, reporting directly to the Chef. This position requires a high level of culinary expertise, leadership skills, and attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Create schedules for the kitchen staff to ensure efficient resource management and timely service delivery.
  • Train and develop new and existing staff on food preparation, presentation, and pricing.
  • Ensure adherence to culinary standards, regulations, and quality control measures.
  • Develop and maintain recipe specifications and standards.
  • Manage associate planning, scheduling, and performance development.
  • Plan menus, analyze food costs, and prepare cost-efficient menus and specials.
  • Assist in preparing annual budgets and ensuring fiscal responsibilities are met.
  • Respond to guest inquiries and concerns.
  • Design new menu selections based on seasonal ingredients and guest demand.
  • Purchase food products and maintain effective vendor relationships.
  • Track, record, and replenish food and inventory as needed.
  • Maintain high standards of sanitation and cleanliness.
  • Assist in maintaining the highest possible rating from the Health Department.
  • Assist in overseeing daily Café operations and training staff on safety, sanitation, and accident prevention controls.
  • Continuously develop and test recipes and techniques to ensure high-quality food preparation and presentation.
Qualifications:
  • Culinary degree or certified apprenticeship program with 2-3 years of management experience in high-volume restaurants or contract foodservice industry.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritize in a deadline-oriented environment.
  • Strong commitment to delivering high-level customer and client service, with demonstrated initiative, leadership, and management skills.
  • Customer service-oriented with the ability to interact with all levels of management.
  • Flexibility to work extended hours, including late nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • High level of attention to detail and organization.
  • Strong leadership skills.
