This role requires a professional with strong accounting expertise, efficient team management, and communication skills who can create effective tax plans and collaborate with the accounting and senior leadership teams to identify areas for improvement and potential risks.

Candidates must feel comfortable overseeing accurate preparation of tax forms and ensuring compliance with relevant tax laws. This role also involves optimizing reporting procedures and ensuring efficient team operations to achieve compliance objectives.

The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience in public accounting and a strong understanding of tax laws and regulations.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage tax engagements such as tax compliance, tax planning, and tax consulting services within the agreed timelines and budget
  • Provide tax consulting and compliance services to a diverse client base in various industry sectors
  • Supervise and manage the tax team by providing guidance, training, and support to ensure the team performs its tasks effectively and efficiently
  • Communicate with clients to understand their business operations, identify tax planning opportunities, and provide tax advice to minimize tax liabilities and improve tax compliance
  • Review tax returns prepared by the tax team to ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field
  • Licensed CPA in state of practice, or, if not CPA eligible, Enrolled Agent
  • 5+ years of relevant work experience in public accounting
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in tax compliance, tax accounting, tax research, and analysis
