Transfer Driver

At Sonepar, we're committed to delivering exceptional customer service and value to our markets. As a Transfer Driver, you'll play a critical role in ensuring the safe, efficient, and courteous delivery of electrical supplies, materials, and parts.

• Drive company truck(s) with great care, adhering to all prevailing traffic laws and safety protocols.
• Provide associates with solutions and/or contact information when problems arise, and report customer opportunities and problems to the Warehouse Manager.
• Load and unload materials from truck in an accurate, efficient, and safe manner, utilizing proper body mechanics and equipment.
• Receive and check-in deliveries, pickups, and returns to ensure quality and quantity of products.
• Cut wire, rod, or strut safely, utilizing the appropriate equipment.
• Sweep floors, remove trash, and maintain the warehouse in a tidy and safe condition.
• Pick, pack, and ship orders, ranging from small boxes to pallets.
• Record losses of damaged or defective materials.

• Ability to climb into and drive delivery vehicles.
• Ability to unload material at customer sites, including heavy and bulky items.
• Willingness to operate warehouse equipment, such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and power tools.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds with or without accommodation.
• Ability to be on your feet for extended periods and traverse the warehouse with or without accommodation.
• Basic problem-solving skills and computer skills.
