Job Title: Surgical Technologist 2

Inova Health System is seeking a skilled Surgical Technologist 2 to join our team at Inova Fair Oaks Hospital. As a Surgical Technologist 2, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of surgical procedures.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Assist surgeons and anesthesiologists during surgical procedures, maintaining a sterile environment and ensuring the availability of necessary equipment.
  • Prepare and maintain surgical instruments, equipment, and supplies, adhering to aseptic techniques and protocols.
  • Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure efficient and safe surgical procedures, anticipating the needs of the surgeon and other team members.
  • Participate in pre-operative and post-operative patient care, providing support and assistance as needed.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation, adhering to hospital policies and procedures.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; graduation from an accredited Surgical Technologist program preferred.
  • 1 year of experience as a Surgical Technologist; registration required; must be eligible for registration via the Commonwealth of Virginia at time of hire.
  • BLS certification via AHA required; CST or TS-C certification preferred.
