Medical Telemetry Technician

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Telemetry Technician to join our team at Hoag Memorial Hospital Presbyterian. As a key member of our patient care team, you will be responsible for monitoring electrocardiogram and SPO2 measurements for designated patients and informing the RN of changes.
Key Responsibilities- Monitor and record patient vital signs, including electrocardiogram and SPO2 measurements
- Inform the RN of any changes or abnormalities in patient condition
- Maintain and check monitoring equipment daily
- Work as a part of the patient care team to maintain organization within the clinical station
- Answer telephones and patient call lights promptly
- Assist patients, hospital visitors, and members of the healthcare team
- Perform some clerical functions, including organizing the clinical station and tracking equipment inventory
- Notify the Charge Nurse of new admits and maintain the census record
- Participate in Swap Shifts to ensure skill competency
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Completion of basic arrhythmia course (ECG certification) and ECG test required
- Recent experience as a Telemetry/Monitor Technician - Clerical Coordinator in an acute healthcare environment preferred
- Completion of a Clerical Coordinator course including medical terminology preferred
Full-Time, Part-Time, and Per Diem positions are available. Benefits eligible for Full-Time and Part-Time positions. Schedule includes 12-hour shifts, primarily nights, with other shifts available.
