Job Summary

We are seeking a qualified Childcare Attendant to join our team at Aspen Skiing Company. The successful candidate will provide high-quality childcare for children aged 2 months to 3 years in our infant, toddler, or preschool rooms.

The Childcare Attendant will work closely with our Lead Teachers to create a stimulating, safe, and age-appropriate environment that promotes cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development in our young guests.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide a safe and engaging environment for children, promoting play, fun, and learning
  • Maintain knowledge of each child's location at all times and take actions to prevent injury
  • Assist with planning and implementing individual and group activities to engage children and encourage social, cognitive, and emotional growth
  • Attend to the personal needs of children, including feeding, sleeping, and diapering
  • Communicate effectively with parents/guardians and provide timely feedback
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and fun environment, adhering to hygiene and cleanliness standards

Requirements:

  • 18 years of age or older
  • Preschool, day camp, babysitting, or other childcare experience working with children aged 3 and under
  • Ability to work well in a team environment and independently with groups of children
  • High school diploma required, bachelor's degree in a related field preferred
  • Strong understanding of child development preferred
  • CPR and First Aid certifications preferred
  • Ability to speak Spanish or Portuguese preferred

Work Environment and Physical Demands:

  • Ability to stand, walk, or be on your feet for extended periods
  • Regularly work indoors with no adverse conditions
  • Must be able to frequently lift, push, or pull up to 50 lbs. individually or with assistance
