Position: Surgical Technologist (CST) - 40 hours per week
Shift: 6:45 AM - 3:15 PM; Experience in Cardiac Specialty required, including on-call duties.

Our highly skilled team, consisting of Surgical Technologists, nurses, and physicians, is devoted to providing quality patient care with a family-centered approach.

Essential Requirements:
- Certification from the NBSTSA is mandatory.
- Completion of an accredited surgical technology program or equivalent military training.
- For graduates post-July 1, 2009, certification exams must be attempted within three months of employment.
- Surgical Technologists will have up to six months post-hire to successfully pass the certification exam or must have achieved certification within 12 months of graduation to maintain employment.
- Annual maintenance of 15 continuing education hours related to surgical technology is required.
- BCLS certification is required at the time of hire or within 30 days.

Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain a sterile environment in the operating room until the patient is transitioned to recovery.
- Sterilize surgical equipment and the operating room.
- Assist in preparing patients for surgical procedures.
- Gather, count, and organize surgical instruments and tools needed during operations.
- Ensure the operating room remains sterile throughout the procedure.
- Pass surgical instruments to the surgeon and assist as needed.
- Count all tools and instruments utilized during surgeries.
- Apply dressings to surgical sites and dispose of waste appropriately.
