At WakeMed, we are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our Environmental Services team as a Housekeeper. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in maintaining the cleanliness and infection prevention and control within our facility.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients, staff, and visitors by performing routine housekeeping and cleaning duties.
- Conduct thorough cleaning and disinfection of clinical work areas, offices, hallways, restrooms, and patient rooms.
- Operate and maintain cleaning equipment and supplies in a safe and efficient manner.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure a seamless and efficient cleaning process.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance the overall cleanliness and patient experience.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Experience in housekeeping and cleaning, preferably in an institutional environment
- Ability to work a variety of shifts, including nights and weekends
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
