Job Overview

Rice Companies is a leading construction firm based in Mankato, MN, seeking a skilled Senior Steel Supervisor to lead our team.

This role serves as site/crew leads for self-performing construction activities, overseeing quality control, safety practices, scheduling, and budgeting.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Site Management: Collaborate with project stakeholders to coordinate on-site activities and ensure timely completion.
  • Project Administration: Manage daily project reports, records, and submittals of subcontractors, suppliers, and labor hours.
  • Scheduling and Budgeting: Maintain the construction schedule, identify and resolve issues, adhere to estimated budgets, and ensure quality workmanship aligns with original project plans.
  • Inspections and Quality Control: Schedule and document inspections in collaboration with project managers and subcontractors.
  • Customer Relations: Foster relationships with owners, customers, inspectors, and other stakeholders.
  • Safety and Maintenance: Promote job site safety and maintain a clean, organized workspace.
Requirements:
  • Experience: At least three years of commercial construction experience.
  • Leadership Skills: Demonstrated leadership and coaching abilities.
  • Certifications: OSHA 10 Certification and equipment certifications (scissor lift, forklifts, etc.).
  • Technical Knowledge: Proficiency in construction tools and equipment.
  • Communication Skills: Able to read and interpret plans and prints.
  • Self-Motivation: Self-motivated individual with leadership skills and ability to multitask.
Compensation and Benefits:
  • Salary: $85,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience.
