Rigging Specialist

Southern Industrial Constructors, Inc. is seeking a skilled Rigger for a project in Sumter, SC.

The successful candidate will be responsible for selecting and attaching cables, ropes, pulleys, winches, blocks, and sheaves to move loads safely and efficiently.

• Select and attach rigging equipment according to load weight and size.
• Give directions to Crane Operators to ensure safe movement of loads.
• Set up, brace, and rig hoisting equipment.
• Splice rope and wire cables to make or repair slings and tackle.
• Coordinate the movement of equipment and materials.
• Detect and respond to hazardous conditions.

• Skilled in written and verbal communication.
• Complete all Safety and general job training as required by SIC.
• Observe SIC and Customer safety and quality processes at all times.

• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and use all required PPE equipment.
• Conditions include working in various environments with frequent exposure to dirt, dust, grease, oil, and adverse weather.
