Responsibilities
  • Provide Physical Therapy Treatments: Implement treatment plans developed by the Physical Therapist to help patients achieve their rehabilitation goals.
  • Assist with Patient Care: Assist the Physical Therapist with patient evaluations, treatments, and progress notes.
  • Document Patient Progress: Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient treatments and progress.
  • Collaborate with Healthcare Team: Work closely with the Physical Therapist, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
  • Contribute to Quality Improvement: Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction.
Requirements
  • Education and Licensure: Graduate of an approved Physical Therapy Assistant program and current licensure or eligibility for licensure in the state of practice.
  • Experience: Prefer experience in a skilled nursing setting serving a similar age and type of resident population.
  • Skills and Abilities: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work independently and as part of a team, and ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
