Ring is seeking a highly skilled Business Intelligence Engineer to join our growing team. As a key member of our organization, you will work closely with executive, product management, engineering, finance, logistics, sales, and marketing teams to drive strategic company goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct in-depth analyses from multiple sources to present research in a clear and actionable format.
  • Analyze large data sets using various query and visualization tools.
  • Provide technical expertise in integrating and analyzing critical data.
  • Anticipate, identify, structure, and solve complex problems.
  • Design and develop key performance metrics and indicators using standardized and custom reports.
  • Perform ad hoc analysis to quickly solve time-sensitive operational issues and business cases.
  • Provide mentorship and coaching for embedded analysts and other business teams.
  • Clearly communicate any potential discrepancies and/or reporting downtime, including specific root cause, steps to resolution, and resolution date to a large end-user base.
  • Work with subject matter experts to document and translate business requirements into technical requirements.
  • Manage multiple projects and proactively communicate issues, priorities, and objectives.

About the Team

The RSS BI Team is focused on providing end-to-end data solutions for Ring subscriptions and product teams. Our goal is to provide data-driven solutions that will help our subscription and product teams roll out best-in-class services for our customers.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of analyzing and interpreting data with Redshift, Oracle, NoSQL, etc. experience.
  • Experience with data visualization using Tableau, Quicksight, or similar tools.
  • Experience with data modeling, warehousing, and building ETL pipelines.
  • Experience in Statistical Analysis packages such as R, SAS, and Matlab.
  • Experience using SQL to pull data from a database or data warehouse and scripting experience (Python) to process data for modeling.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with AWS solutions such as EC2, DynamoDB, S3, and Redshift.
  • Experience in data mining, ETL, etc. and using databases in a business environment with large-scale, complex datasets.

Compensation

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $89,600/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
