Compensation: $17 - $18.50 per hour
We are seeking dedicated individuals who embody our core values of HEART: Hospitality, Excellence, Appreciation, Respect, and Teamwork. In this role, you will be entrusted with the safe administration of prescribed medications and treatments as outlined in the Medication Administration Record (MAR) and Treatment Administration Record (TAR). Additionally, you will provide essential personal and general nursing care to residents as required.
Key Responsibilities:- Ensure the safe administration of medications while adhering to the six rights of medication administration.
- Accurately count and document all narcotics administered to residents.
- Oversee the complete inventory of medications within the community, which includes ordering, receiving, verifying, storing, dating, and disposing of expired or discontinued medications.
- Identify and report any discrepancies in medication inventory to the appropriate personnel.
- Maintain cleanliness of all medication carts at the end of each shift and restock as necessary, including conducting weekly deep cleaning.
- Verify that all current MARs are accurately compared to new MARs during transition periods.
- Assist residents with personal care needs, including bathing, skin care, oral hygiene, grooming, dressing, incontinence care, and feeding.
- Provide general nursing care, including monitoring vital signs, temperatures, blood pressure, and weights.
- Document relevant information in the daily log as required.
- A minimum of one year of experience in a senior care environment.
- Possession of a state-specific Medication Technician certification.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- A professional and positive demeanor.
- Strong attention to detail.
