Job Summary:
The City of Lincoln, NE is seeking a highly skilled Psychiatric Registered Nurse to join our team at the Crisis Center. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will provide exceptional nursing care to adults in a 24-hour, 15-bed crisis assessment and stabilization unit.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct initial and ongoing assessments of clients presenting problems and needs, collaborating with physicians to implement care plans.
- Perform therapeutic nursing interventions, including crisis intervention, administration of psychotropic medication, and patient monitoring.
- Initiate proper procedures for suicide risk, substance abuse/dependence, and restraint/seclusion.
- Communicate effectively with the multidisciplinary team and outside agencies to ensure seamless care coordination.
- Interface with legal and mental health systems in an inpatient environment.
Requirements:
- Graduation from a school of nursing accredited by the National League of Nursing with a valid Diploma of Nursing.
- Valid license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Nebraska.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in delivering nursing care in a psychiatric setting.
