Compensation:
$23.02 Per Hour, depending on experience

Work Schedule:
Monday - Friday; flexible hours

Key Responsibilities:

Administrative Tasks:
Delivering exceptional customer service, managing phone communications, and monitoring instrumentation alerts.

Technical Duties:
Collecting blood samples and other specimens, preparing them for laboratory analysis, and conducting screening tests.

Data Management:
Ensuring accurate specimen information, performing data entry, and verifying patient identification.

Specimen Management:
Receiving, processing, and packaging samples for referral laboratories while ensuring specimen integrity.

Regulatory Compliance:
Adhering to safety protocols, HIPAA regulations, Medicare guidelines, and participating in quality assurance initiatives.

Adaptability:
Assisting with shifts at various locations as necessary to maintain operational efficiency.

Qualifications:

Education:
High School diploma or equivalent

Experience:
Professional background in phlebotomy

Skills:
Strong communication abilities; attention to detail; effective organizational skills

Physical Requirements:
The laboratory environment includes various automated equipment that emits sounds.

High levels of staff interaction and activity in close quarters.


Ability to hear and respond to alarms and safety hazards promptly.

Regular exposure to potentially infectious samples.

Protective Equipment:
Lab coat, gloves, goggles, and face shield are required.

Physical tasks include sitting, standing, kneeling, crawling, bending, and twisting as necessary.

Walking on uneven surfaces, both indoors and outdoors, is required throughout the day.

Frequent bending and stooping.

Extended periods of standing are typical.

Ability to work long hours and overtime as required.

Ability to lift up to 30 pounds.

OSHA Compliance:
This role involves tasks that may expose the individual to blood, body fluids, and/or tissues. Employees in this position are offered the opportunity to receive the Hepatitis-B vaccination series.
