At FIRST RESPONSE EMS, we are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Dispatcher Office Administrator to join our team. As a key member of our dispatch team, you will be responsible for receiving and responding to emergency and non-emergency calls, providing critical information and assistance to our field units, and ensuring the smooth operation of our medical transportation services.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Receive and confirm all assignments for the day, ensuring accurate and timely communication with field units.
  2. Calculate time and distance between assignments, prioritizing routes to optimize efficiency and reduce response times.
  3. Coordinate assignments and units, producing a schedule and obtaining approval prior to assigning drivers.
  4. Communicate effectively with all units operating in the field, ensuring real-time updates on their whereabouts and status.
  5. Control all communications via the radio system, including landline and cellular communications, and maintain accurate logs of all communication equipment and its users.
  6. Institute a system for accountability for units, patients, equipment, and information, ensuring compliance with established medical protocols and procedures.
  7. Keep supervisors updated on the day-to-day operations of the units, organizing and allocating company resources as needed.
  8. Write and submit accurate and concise reports on incidents, adhering to established guidelines and standards.
  9. Stay up-to-date with new guidelines and procedures through continuous training, ensuring the highest level of professionalism and expertise.
  10. Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to health and safety standards.
Requirements
  1. 1-2 years of previous experience in a similar role, with a strong understanding of emergency medical services and dispatch protocols.
  2. Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  3. Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple assignments simultaneously.
  4. Proficiency in computer systems and software, with the ability to enter data accurately and maintain logs and records.
