North Bend Medical Center is seeking a Sterile Processing Supervisor to join our team in Coos Bay, Oregon. This role is responsible for maintaining a clean and safe environment for patients by ensuring the proper sterilization and processing of medical instruments. As a Sterile Processing Supervisor, you will be the point person for all things related to instrument sterilization and will oversee the work of the sterile processing technicians. Your expertise in AAMI/AAAHC standards and knowledge of instrumentation decontamination, prepping/packaging, and sterilization processes will be invaluable in this role.

The salary for this position is $ $64,000 - $72,000 per year, depending on experience. Job Summary: The Sterile Processing Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the sterile processing department, ensuring that all medical instruments are properly sterilized and processed before being used in patient procedures. This includes supervising sterile processing technicians, operating equipment such as the instrument/scope washer disinfector and autoclaves, and performing quality control checks on sterilized instruments. In addition, the Sterile Processing Supervisor will be responsible for maintaining accurate records of the sterilization processes and reporting any issues or concerns to management.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and direct the activities of sterile processing technicians.
  • Operate and maintain equipment such as the instrument/scope washer disinfector and autoclaves.
  • Perform quality control checks on sterilized instruments.
  • Maintain accurate records of the sterilization processes.
  • Report any issues or concerns to management.


Requirements:
  • Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRST)
  • Two years' experience in Sterile Processing required
  • CPR training within 90 days of hire
  • High school graduate or equivalent
