Job Title: Lead Dispensing Nurse

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Lead Dispensing Nurse to join our team at MedMark Treatment Centers. As a key member of our nursing staff, you will play a vital role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality nursing care to our patients.

Job Summary:

The Lead Dispensing Nurse will work in partnership with the Nurse Supervisor and Program/Medical Director to ensure the delivery of adequate and qualitative nursing coverage for all program and dispensing operations. This includes ensuring that physicians' medication orders are enacted in a timely manner, including delivery to outside facilities.

Responsibilities:
  • Ensure compliance with Federal and state regulations regarding medical services
  • Delegate tasks to certified nursing assistants, medication technicians, or unlicensed personnel
  • Communicate and collaborate with the Nursing Supervisor regarding potential issues
  • Schedule and participate in treatment teams, panel reviews, department head meetings, and general staff meetings
  • Nursing team management, including time clock edits, schedule development, performance improvement activities, and monthly reports
  • Review and resolve client clinical complaints; intervene in crisis situations
  • Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned
Qualifications:
  • Licensed in NH as a Licensed Practical Nurse or Licensed Vocational Nurse with 3-5 years of experience
  • Prior experience in substance abuse, mental health treatment, or addiction medicine preferred
  • Accuracy of record keeping with understanding of HIPAA, Federal, State & CARF standards & regulations
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies
  • Fundamental knowledge of professional nursing principles, techniques, basic addiction medicine science, and community health and welfare resources
  • Ability to carry out written and oral instructions; exercise judgment in the application of nursing care; accept and use supervision; work cooperatively with people; maintain an objective attitude; exercise tact and initiative; stimulate patients and families to constructive actions; grasp and apply the basic principles of administration and operation of a health program; and communicate effectively
  • Computer proficiency with EMR, Microsoft Suite
  • Satisfactory drug screen and criminal background check
