This role demands a proactive approach to engage and educate our customers on how to navigate their shopping experience effectively.

Exuding positivity is essential as you represent Retail Rebel professionally while assisting customers in discovering and purchasing their unique finds. Responsibilities include operating the cash register, maintaining merchandise displays, recovering stock, ensuring cleanliness throughout the store, and executing additional tasks as directed by the Store Manager.

Our Retail Cashier and Sales Associates are expected to embrace their roles and deliver exceptional work quality, productivity, and commitment through the training provided.

This position is integral to fostering teamwork and achieving Retail Rebel's daily objectives.

We recognize and reward hard work through a Pay for Performance Program (PFPP), offering potential pay increases within the initial months of employment. Our Associate Recognition Program and Referral Program provide additional incentives, alongside a 20% discount on already reduced products.

PTO begins accruing from day one, available after a designated period, with one week off in the first year and more thereafter. We offer six paid holidays, and medical, dental, and vision insurance options become available within a short timeframe, along with life and optional insurance benefits. A 401k plan with up to 3% matching is available after a specified duration.

Compensation starts at a competitive rate of $16.44 and above, depending on experience.


Ideal Candidate Profile:
To excel in this role, you should:
- Provide outstanding customer service and assist customers effectively
- Help customers understand store policies and procedures
- Be detail-oriented and meticulous in following procedures
- Operate a cash register and scanner efficiently, handling transactions and providing change
- Organize and stock merchandise appropriately
- Maintain appealing visual displays of products
- Follow company protocols to ensure merchandise is accessible and organized
- Assist in maintaining store cleanliness, including trash disposal and floor maintenance

Work Environment:
This role involves:
- Standing for extended periods
- Frequent bending, stooping, and kneeling
- Handling and moving merchandise safely, including lifting items up to 30 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds
- Working in a fast-paced environment with moderate noise levels
- Performing additional supportive duties as required
- Availability for some evenings and weekends

Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous retail experience is advantageous
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Understanding of safety protocols
- Ability to convey store processes and pricing to customers (training provided)
- Basic cash handling knowledge and mathematical skills.
