Job Overview

We're seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Yard Specialist at Carter Lumber. As a key member of our yard team, you will play a crucial role in assisting contractors and do-it-yourselfers with their orders, maintaining inventory, and ensuring a safe and organized work environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist customers with order selection and loading
  • Pull and stage materials for pickup or delivery
  • Conduct cycle counts to maintain inventory accuracy
  • Keep the yard organized and clean
  • Operate a forklift and obtain certification if needed
Requirements
  • Previous customer service experience
  • Friendly and approachable personality
  • Familiarity with building materials, lumber, and millwork is a plus
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
  • Pay range: $18-$19/hour
