Job Overview

Interim HealthCare of NEPA is a leading provider of home care services, dedicated to delivering exceptional care and support to individuals with disabilities or medical conditions.

We are seeking compassionate and skilled Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to join our team in providing vital assistance and enhancing the quality of life for these individuals.

About the Role

The DSP role involves assisting clients with daily activities such as bathing, grooming, and dressing, as well as administering medications and supporting educational or vocational activities.

DSPs will also accompany clients to medical appointments, provide emotional support, and assist with meal planning and preparation.

Responsibilities
  • Assistance with Daily Activities: Provide support with bathing, grooming, and dressing to ensure clients maintain their personal hygiene and independence.
  • Medication Administration: Safely administer medications according to prescribed guidelines to manage client health conditions.
  • Support with Education and Vocational Activities: Assist clients in their educational or vocational pursuits to promote personal growth and development.
  • Transportation and Accompaniment: Escort clients to medical appointments and provide transportation when needed to ensure timely medical care.
  • Meal Planning and Preparation: Assist clients with meal planning and preparation to maintain a healthy diet and promote overall well-being.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma: Possess a high school diploma or equivalent to demonstrate basic education and communication skills.
  • Previous Experience: Prior experience in a healthcare or caregiving role is preferred to showcase relevant skills and knowledge.
  • Excellent Communication: Develop strong relationships with clients, families, and healthcare professionals through excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Teamwork and Flexibility: Demonstrate ability to work independently and as part of a team, adapting to changing circumstances and priorities.
  • Valid Driver's License: Hold a valid driver's license and possess reliable transportation to meet client needs.
Compensation and Benefits
