We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our team at the State of Florida Department of Health. As a Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in various Women's Health clinics, as well as providing training and health education to staff, clients, and community partners.
Key Responsibilities- Provide nursing services in accordance with established Florida Nursing Standards and protocols
- Conduct client assessments, provide medication issuance, and arrange referrals and testing as needed
- Develop and implement health education programs for clients and community partners
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure seamless care coordination
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures
- Active valid license to practice as a registered nurse in Florida
- 6 months experience as an RN in a healthcare setting
- 6 months experience providing healthcare services in a women's health setting
- Ability to work Monday through Friday and in emergency situations as needed
- Basic Cardiac Life Support certification
- Experience providing care to clients with TB
- Experience working with a refugee population
- Experience presenting health-related information to large groups
