We are seeking an experienced auto technician to join our team at Bay Ridge Auto Group. As a union shop, we offer competitive pay and benefits, including a retention bonus for technicians who stay with our team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Efficiently perform work as specified on repair orders, adhering to our high standards.
- Conduct test drives and utilize diagnostic tools and specialized equipment to accurately assess and repair vehicles.
- Diagnose, maintain, and repair automotive systems, including engines, transmissions, electrical systems, steering, suspension, brakes, air conditioning, and more.
- Communicate directly with Service Advisors to ensure customers are fully informed of any additional services needed, providing accurate time estimates for additional repairs.
- Perform warranty repairs according to manufacturer specifications.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Service Technician.
- Preferred: Experience with Honda, Mazda, or Volkswagen.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; ASE Certification mandatory.
- Strong mechanical skills, excellent hand-eye coordination, and steady dexterity.
- Proficient in operating electronic diagnostic equipment and troubleshooting.
- Exceptional customer service skills and basic computer knowledge.
- Positive and friendly attitude, with a commitment to continuous improvement.
- Enjoy working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Strong team player, with the ability to collaborate effectively.
- Willingness to learn new technology, repair procedures, and specifications.
- Valid drivers license with a clean driving record.
