Primary Functions:

Under the guidance of the Customer Service Manager, the Customer Service Representative will act as the primary point of contact for service and support within the Over the Road (OTR) business unit, ensuring the successful execution of tasks that promote an exceptional customer experience and satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver prompt and courteous assistance to customers through various communication channels, including phone, email, and electronic data interchange.
  • Maintain a high standard of professionalism while building positive relationships with clients during interactions.
  • Coordinate load building and appointment scheduling for designated customers in collaboration with the Account Management team.
  • Accurately construct and rate loads to minimize billing discrepancies.
  • Collaborate with the Account Management team to ensure the completion of daily customer relations activities.
  • Exhibit a positive, empathetic, and professional demeanor toward customers at all times.
  • Execute track and trace requests for freight across different service modes.
  • Interpret shipping status data accurately and relay information to customers in a clear and professional manner.
  • Address billing inquiries and refer to the billing team as necessary.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction by providing outstanding support.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the Customer Service Manager to support customer relationship management objectives.

Required Experience:

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in a customer-facing role, such as sales or customer service.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Outlook, etc.).
  • Familiarity with electronic data interchange and customer relationship management systems.
  • Experience in call centers, third-party logistics (3PL), or the trucking industry is preferred.

Education/Certifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
