Job Title: Park Ranger

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Park Ranger to join our team at the State of Connecticut, Department of Administrative Services. As a Park Ranger, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and enjoyable experience of park visitors while maintaining the park's natural and cultural resources.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide general information to park visitors and respond to inquiries
  • Enforce park rules and regulations
  • Conduct educational programs and activities
  • Assist with park maintenance and repairs
  • Collaborate with other park staff to achieve park goals and objectives
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Experience in customer service or a related field preferred
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and work in a variety of weather conditions
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in park or recreation management
  • Knowledge of park rules and regulations
  • Ability to operate a variety of equipment, including vehicles and power tools
