Job Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality patient care in the Labor and Delivery department, ensuring a safe and supportive environment for mothers and newborns.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans, addressing the unique needs of each patient.
- Administer medications, perform procedures, and conduct assessments as needed, adhering to established protocols and guidelines.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care coordination and patient satisfaction.
- Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with best practices, new technologies, and emerging trends in Labor and Delivery nursing.
Requirements:
- Active, unrestricted Arizona RN license or valid participating compact license.
- BLS (American Heart Association) certification.
- ACLS certification.
- Advanced Fetal Heart Monitoring certification.
- NRP certification.
- AWHONN Intermediate or Advanced certification.
- STABLE certification.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in Labor and Delivery nursing.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on patient-centered care.
Work Environment:
- Short-term acute care facility with 87 total staffed beds.
- 4 labor rooms, 2 triage rooms, 2 OR suites, 10 postpartum rooms, and 2 stabilization nursery beds.
- State-of-the-art equipment and technology, including Cerner charting system.
- Free parking available on site.
