About the Role

We are seeking a qualified Per Diem Substance Abuse Counselor to join our team at Outreach Development. As a member of our adolescent residential facility, you will play a vital role in providing clinical services and support to chemically dependent adolescents with co-occurring mental health problems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct initial and ongoing screenings of residents and their property in accordance with unit procedures.
  • Document and chart all aspects of resident progress using plans, progress notes, and other agency forms and tools.
  • Facilitate and supervise daily group formats, including self-medication under supervision.
  • Participate in individual and group supervision, and communicate pertinent information using the SAC communication log and incident reports.
  • Provide crisis intervention and follow-up, including documentation of incidents, accidents, and elopement reports.
  • Supervise and manage the client population in the facilitation of the daily house schedule.
Requirements
  • Previous experience working in an adolescent group home or therapeutic community.
  • Previous experience in childcare, non-secure, or other types of residential settings.
  • Previous experience in community management and monitoring daily routines.
  • CASAC-T, CASAC, or higher preferred.
