Carter Lumber has been a cornerstone in the industry since its inception in 1932 by W.E. Carter. Role Responsibilities:

In this role, you will:

  • Assist customers, including contractors and DIY enthusiasts, in selecting and loading their orders.
  • Prepare and organize lumber materials for pickup and delivery.
  • Maintain inventory accuracy in the Yard through regular cycle counts.
  • Ensure the Yard is orderly and clean.
  • Operate equipment such as forklifts; training and certification will be provided if needed.

Qualifications:
  • Experience with tools such as saws, nail guns, and measuring tapes is advantageous.
  • Prior customer service experience is preferred.
  • A friendly and approachable demeanor.
  • Familiarity with building materials is a plus.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
  • Availability for a schedule from 7 am to 5 pm.
