GENERAL FUNCTION
The Logistics Team Supervisor oversees the Logistics team, facilitating the shipping, receiving, and consolidation of all supplies, products, and equipment. The supervisor ensures that all items are shipped according to the scheduled turnover dates to the designated store locations. They provide feedback and support for customer special requests and initiatives, identifying potential delays and risks while collaborating with customer partners to mitigate impacts and enhance processes. The supervisor works closely with other departments to achieve the necessary goals related to equipment and shipping requirements.
MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Oversees the team responsible for receiving all items for internal and brand partners, consolidating items, and ensuring proper delivery.
- Manages the team to fulfill all scheduled shipping obligations.
- Coordinates the delivery and pickup of equipment.
- Maintains communication with brand partners to support new initiatives, store closures, and rollouts.
- Provides constructive feedback on work standards and assists in establishing new benchmarks.
- Monitors work volume and recommends additional labor hours as necessary.
- Participates in meetings and proactively addresses issues requiring resolution.
- Communicates daily goals to the team.
- Addresses any team conflicts that may hinder performance.
- Conducts quarterly evaluations with direct reports.
- Ensures a clean and safe working environment.
- Identifies quality, process, and workflow challenges.
- Engages with the leadership team regarding problems, suggestions, and concerns.
- Contributes to special projects as required.
- High School Diploma/GED
- 3+ years of experience in distribution
- Basic computer proficiency
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities
- Capability to lift 30 lbs., bend, stoop, and stand for extended periods
- Forklift certification or relevant experience
