Henrico Doctors' Hospital Forest is seeking a skilled Cardiac Stepdown Registered Nurse RN PRN to join our team. As a Cardiac Stepdown Nurse, you will provide high-quality patient care to post-cardiac surgery, valve repair, chest pain, coronary artery, and cardiothoracic surgery patients.
Responsibilities- Administer medications utilizing the 5 rights to medication administration
- Perform and document care for all admissions and patients
- Initiate and document patient teaching and discharge planning, including family and/or significant other in collaboration with multidisciplinary team members
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing (BSN preferred)
- Current Registered Nurse license in Virginia or a compact license
- Current BLS certification
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 60 days of employment start date
