Overview

The Division of Adult Psychiatry and Psychology is seeking a highly qualified candidate for a postdoctoral clinical fellowship position in adult behavioral health interventions. This is a unique opportunity to gain advanced clinical training in the practice of psychology across various adult assessment, treatment, and consultation services.

Clinical Responsibilities

The selected candidate will engage in supervised practice of clinical activities, including diagnostic evaluations, psychological testing, and psychotherapy in outpatient specialty clinic settings. The fellow will have the opportunity to work with adults experiencing a range of conditions, including acute and chronic medical illnesses, pain, substance use disorders, mood and anxiety disorders, ADHD, traumatic stress, and somatic symptom-related disorders.

Other Responsibilities

Participation in multidisciplinary team meetings and opportunities for involvement in the adult inpatient consultation and liaison services will be available. The fellow will also contribute to the educational, research, and administrative activities of the department and division.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have a doctoral degree in clinical psychology or a related field from an APA-accredited program and completion of an APA-accredited internship. Eligibility to pursue provisional licensure as a psychologist in North Carolina is required.
