Job Title: Health Information Management Supervisor

At the Good Samaritan Society, we are seeking a highly skilled Health Information Management Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our HIM department, you will be responsible for providing consultative services to our health information management professionals, supporting current and emerging HIM technology, and developing and maintaining manuals, standards, and guidance materials related to HIM.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide consultative services to HIM professionals in various settings, including senior living and home and community-based services.
  • Support current and emerging HIM technology, including ICD-10 diagnosis coding.
  • Develop and maintain manuals, standards, and guidance materials related to HIM, ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations and policies.
  • Provide training and support for users of clinical applications, including remote and on-site visits.
  • Maintain and use knowledge of current information, regulations, and practices in the HIM field, with a focus on senior living and home and community-based services.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in health information management required.
  • Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA) certification.
  • Ability to teach and train adults, with high proficiency in computerized record systems.
