Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Cart Delivery Driver to join our team at Live Oak Environmental - Terrell. As a Cart Delivery Driver, you will be responsible for safely operating a company pickup and pulling a 16-foot trailer with a drop-down ramp while delivering, collecting, repairing, and unloading residential roll carts to and from customer locations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate vehicle in accordance with OSHA and DOT requirements as well as all local, municipal, state, and federal laws
  • Perform pre- and post-trip inspections of assigned equipment and document checks on standard DVIR
  • Immediately report any unsafe situations or service-related issues to Route Manager or Dispatch
  • Participate in all scheduled training programs, briefings, and meetings required by Live Oak Environmental or Route Manager
  • Work closely with Route Managers to improve route efficiencies and identify best practices
  • Notify Route Manager of any incidents, accidents, injuries, or property damage
  • Notify Route Manager or Dispatch of service interruptions, including blocked containers, closed lots, streets, alleyways, or potential safety hazards
  • Communicate customer requests to Route Manager or Dispatch
  • Frequently enter and exit both cab and trailer to manually deliver new empty roll carts and collect material loaded roll carts weighing in excess of 65 pounds
  • Work daily with the routing team and dispatchers to ensure efficient sequential orders for delivery and removals
  • Work daily with local on-site cart maintenance team to ensure proper cart inventory needs
  • Complete and submit customer tickets as required, using on-board computer technology
  • Complete basic field service repairs on carts such as, lid swaps and axle/wheel repairs
  • Complete site evaluations to ensure locations are conductive for safe and proper servicing
  • Deliver carts on the customer's property in a manner that ensures safe and easy recovery by the customer
  • Follow route assignments as directed and complete end of day documentation and the check-out process
  • Perform all duties as scheduled by the Route Manager or Dispatch and assist other drivers as directed to meet customer needs
Requirements
  • Hold a current Driver's License
  • Legally eligible to work in the United States
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Ability to perform physical requirements of the position with or without reasonable accommodations
  • Successfully complete and pass pre-employment DOT drug screen
