Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Custodian to join our team at BHOM Student Living. As a Custodian, you will play a critical role in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our office rooms and amenity areas.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide exceptional customer service to residents, staff, and visitors, promoting a positive and welcoming environment.
  • Communicate effectively with the General Manager regarding unit status and supply needs.
  • Conduct daily inventory of supplies and maintain a clean and organized workspace.
  • Responsible for cleaning and maintaining individual units, amenity areas, and common spaces, including bathrooms and office areas.
  • Clean out vacant apartments after resident move-outs and transfers.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements
  • Availability for night and weekend calls.
  • Previous housekeeping or custodial experience and excellent customer service skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • A high school education or equivalent is required; college hours preferred.

Work Environment
The work environment is light in physical demand, requiring frequent sitting, standing, walking, reaching, and grasping. Occasional bending, crouching, or stooping may be required. The ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds and push and pull up to 50 pounds with mechanical assistance is necessary. Close and distance vision, as well as the ability to adjust focus, are required. The employee will be regularly exposed to work near moving mechanical parts, work in high places, and outdoor weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
