Cardiac Cath Lab RN Job Description

HonorHealth is seeking a skilled Cardiac Cath Lab RN to join our team. As a Cardiac Cath Lab RN, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Assess patients' medical history and symptoms to develop individualized care plans.
  • Administer medications, including careful checking of dosages and avoiding interactions.
  • Start, maintain, and discontinue intravenous (IV) lines for fluid, medication, blood, and blood products.
  • Administer therapies and treatments, observing patients and recording their progress.
  • Consult with physicians and other healthcare clinicians to ensure comprehensive patient care.
  • Teach patients and their families how to manage their illnesses or injuries, explain post-treatment and home care needs, and provide education on diet, nutrition, and exercise programs.
  • Provide direction to licensed practical nurses and nursing aides regarding patient care and delegate tasks when appropriate.
  • Support efforts to advance clinical knowledge and skills, precept new hire staff and students, and assist in the development of competency skills.
Requirements:
  • Associate's Degree or Diploma in Nursing.
  • At least 10 months of med-surg or acute specialty setting experience.
  • 1 year RN experience for all Float Positions.
  • Registered Nurse (RN) State And/Or Compact State Licensure.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification.
Work Environment:

John C Lincoln Med Center, CV Cardiac Cath Lab, Days, Regular Full-Time.
