Job Summary

The Laborer - Installation Specialist is responsible for assisting with installations, alterations, additions, and/or repairs of various infrastructure components, including underground raceways, foundations, and control house slabs.

This role requires a high level of physical activity, including ascending and descending ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, and/or poles, as well as moving self in different positions to accomplish tasks in various environments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with assigned field installations, alterations, additions, and/or repairs of infrastructure components.
  • Maintain and properly store tools and equipment.
  • Properly use and safe handling of tools, equipment, and materials.
  • Accurately organize materials and tools in order to maintain clean and neat work areas.
Requirements
  • Must have dependable transportation.
  • Ability to work in noisy environments.
  • Ability to remain calm in times of heightened emotional situations.
  • Must have some knowledge of CPR, ability to perform First Aid and emergency rescue if ever necessary.
  • Must work smoothly with others as a member of a team to complete tasks.
  • Ability to work 10 hours per day, night shift, 40 hours per week and overtime as required with little or on short notice.
  • Clearly understand and comply with Company / Job Safety Requirements (OSHA).
  • Ability to add, subtract, divide and use formulas accurately.
  • Work in restrictive / tight areas.
  • Must be capable of digging trenches, either by use of hand tools or equipment.
  • Accurately read labels, job site maps / direction and manuals and written instructions.
  • Ability to visualize completed work prior to installation.
  • Must have ability and knowledge to properly give hand signals to operators.
  • Knowledge and understanding of OSHA requirements.
  • Must have a valid driver's license.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Detail oriented and willing to tackle various ongoing projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Well versed in the industry and the Company's competitors.
  • Excellent multitasking skills, with the ability to perform duties outside of scope of work when necessary.
Physical/Work Environment Requirements
  • Ascending and descending ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, and/or poles.
  • Climbing stairs.
  • Moving self in different positions to accomplish tasks in various environments including tight and confined spaces.
  • Repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers.
  • Operating machinery and/or power tools.
  • Outdoor elements such as precipitation, heat, cold, and/or wind.
  • Noisy environment.
  • Light to heavy work that includes adjusting and/or moving objects from pounds.
Pay Range

USD $17.00 /Hr.
